What are Carbon Plate Running Shoes?


Carbon plate shoes are running trainers that have a carbon fibre plate in the midsole of the shoe. The carbon plate helps to stabilise the midsole and maximise energy transfer, which propels the runner forwards with each step and decreases energy expenditure. The plate results in more reactivity and spring in each step, meaning more energy is returned to the runner.

Designed for long distance running, PUMA carbon plate running shoes are made with speed and comfort in mind. The midsole features our innovative Nitrogen-injected foam for maximum cushioning, while the PUMA PWRPLATE is our carbon plate which enhances energy return and propels the runner forward. All of this is captured in an incredibly lightweight shoe, finished off with the iconic PUMA formstrip.
